I googled this and the ultimate answer is "it depends" since missions return variable standings increases. However for alpha clone with zero social skills it took about 30-35 missions to get to the L2 agents.
I used a career agent thrasher with all 200mm guns, dual prop (MWD + AB), no missiles, gyroscope and some other weapons upgrade, and I bought and carried two armor reps with me.
Don't loot unless you happen to be right on top of it, and try to take as many missions at once as you can. I was flying out of Rens and I was able to accept four L1 missions at a time, and that really cuts down on travel. Use appropriate ammo: google Eve University Projectile Ammo. Carry a bunch of each type of ammo you need (emp, fusion, phased plasma).
Insure your ship: there are missions where there are a lot of enemies that hit hard and you could definitely die. L1 missions are easy but they're much harder than tutorials and it's probably best to have an arty thrasher or maybe fit a tank for some of the tougher ones but I just didn't bother with that level of detail.
The other thing about Rens is that the L1 storyline mission agent is in system, so that helps with travel also. |

I just made an alt quickly and trained social skills to alpha max on it (except security connections, etc.) , then I was 0 standings to everyone, so I did a single mission and went to 0.84, so it's CLOSE to no L1 missions but not quite there. ***With the career agents that might be reduced to zero L1s though. SOE seems pretty good to get to L2 missions with a chosen faction. I ran it and they must have nerfed the last guy or buffed starting skills or something, because the first time I did this mission, years ago, in a destroyer on a 2-3 day account I couldn't break the tank and I had to ask for help in local, but it's solo-able now.
